The Current Card app has no account and includes no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party runtime SDKs. Pro iCloud sync is off until you choose to turn it on.
Information stored on your device
Current Card stores your current card text, theme, timestamps, Card Trail, recoverable Trash, card-back notes and photos, and preferences on your device. The iPhone and iPad app and its extensions use an Apple App Group so the same current card can appear in the app, Widgets, and Live Activities.
The Apple Watch app keeps a device-local copy of the current card and can hold a pending Let go action until it reaches the iPhone. Card backs, Card Trail, and Trash are not shown on Apple Watch, Widgets, or Live Activities.
Cards you let go of or replace, and anything on their backs, remain in the local archive for recent restore and Card Trail. If Pro iCloud sync is enabled, this archive content also syncs through your private iCloud database. It is not sent to the operator.
Cards moved to Trash, including anything on their backs, remain recoverable for up to 7 days. Permanent deletion or expiry removes them from Current Card; when Pro iCloud sync is enabled, that Trash state and deletion also sync through your private iCloud database.
Keep in sight and system surfaces
If you choose Keep in sight, the current card text is placed in an Apple Live Activity. The operating system may show it on system-owned surfaces such as the Dynamic Island, Lock Screen, StandBy, Always-On display, or compatible paired Apple devices.
Someone who can see those surfaces may also see the card text. You can stop the Live Activity from Current Card. Please avoid putting sensitive information in a card that you choose to keep in sight.
Optional iCloud sync
If you have Pro and explicitly turn on Sync with iCloud, Current Card stores card text, themes, timestamps, Card Trail, recoverable Trash, card-back notes and photos, and the automatic Keep in sight preference in your private iCloud database. Enabled Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account can then stay aligned.
Buying Pro does not turn sync on. Current Card does not run its own card server, and the operator cannot read your private iCloud database. Apple processes the synced data under its iCloud terms. Card-back photos use iCloud’s encrypted asset storage.
Turning sync off stops future syncing on that device but leaves the existing private iCloud copy in place. The separate Delete iCloud copy action turns sync off and permanently deletes Current Card’s private sync zone for the current iCloud account. Cards stored locally on that device remain.
Pro purchases
Apple processes Pro purchases and restoration through the App Store and StoreKit under Apple’s terms. Current Card reads and stores the verified Pro entitlement status needed to unlock features; the purchase flow does not send your card content.
Promotion information
When the app is in the foreground or a purchase page is opened, it may request public promotion information from our website to show an offer indicator or price label. It sends no card content, purchase receipt, or persistent user identifier. Our hosting provider processes technical connection information, such as an IP address, to deliver the response. The response is kept briefly in memory and is not used for tracking.
Sharing and support you choose
Current Card does not currently provide card-content sharing, its own messaging service, or a Current Card account. Share Current Card sends only a fixed App Store link to the Apple share sheet; the person and service you choose handle it under their own terms.
Email support is optional and separate from the app. If you contact us, your email provider processes the message and we use it only to respond. Do not include card text, private notifications, account details, or unredacted screenshots.
Data collection and tracking
The Current Card app does not collect data through the app and does not track you across apps or websites. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or third-party network SDK.
The public website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits and performance. According to Cloudflare, this service does not collect or use visitors’ personal data, does not use cookies or localStorage for analytics, and does not fingerprint individual visitors for analytics. Cloudflare also delivers the public pages and may process ordinary web-request data under its own terms.
Website metrics are separate from the Current Card App. They never include card text, Card Trail, Card Backs, iCloud content, purchase status, or app events, and are never connected to Current Card App activity. The site reads your browser language on the English default page and stores only the locale you choose in this browser.
Apple may process App Store distribution, diagnostics, or feedback under Apple’s own terms and privacy policies. That processing is separate from the card content stored locally by Current Card.
Retention and deletion
Let go and Replace remove a card from sight but keep it in Card Trail; they are not deletion actions. Moving a card to Trash keeps it recoverable for up to 7 days. Permanent deletion, Trash expiry, or removing the app and its associated data removes the relevant local data, subject to Apple platform behavior.
When sync is enabled, card changes and deletions also sync through your private iCloud database. Delete iCloud copy removes the entire Current Card private sync zone for the current iCloud account and keeps sync off. Other devices may retain their local copies, but they do not automatically recreate the deleted zone. Current Card has no operator-held card copy or account-based deletion process.
Changes to this policy
If the Current Card app later adds accounts, analytics, third-party SDKs, other network features, or materially different data practices—or if the website’s practices materially change—this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be reviewed and updated before release.
